PART-TIME Catering Assistant required - THURSDAYS - IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE - Vacancy added 14th August 2023
We are currently looking for a Part time Catering Assistant to join our team at Frying Tuck Mobile Catering.
We are a mobile Fish & Chip shop, catering at various villages and estates around the Salisbury area. We are 5* rated on both Facebook and TripAdvisor alongside a Food Hygiene rating of 5* and take great pride in the reputation that we have built up since we began trading October 2015.
Full 'hands on' training will be provided with opportunity to learn the cooking side of the business if this is something of interest to you. We will fund the relevant Certifications in Food & Hygiene etc for the right candidate.
This position is only open for applicants aged 16 years and over.
We are looking for someone who would be confident dealing with our regular customers and generally enjoys chatting to people. We also would prefer someone who doesn't mind getting stuck in and works with enthusiasm, energy and initiative. Most importantly must be reliable and honest. We are a fun informal family business and so you would become an integral part of our team.
This is a mobile kitchen so as with most catering jobs, the ability to withstand the change in working temperature (according to the season) is a must!
Responsibilities include;
Due to the variety of working locations, we would prefer someone with their own transport. However arrangements
could possibly be made to travel to and from our locations from our base in Salisbury.
Regular working hours are;
Thursdays - Broadchalke/Dinton - 4pm - 8pm - Minimum 4 x hours per week
PLUS the very occasional Saturday/ Ad-hoc hours.
There will be opportunities for overtime/extra hours, particularly when holiday/sickness cover is needed. There may also be extended hours when catering at events. Therefore we are looking for someone who can be flexible.

- Taking customer orders - in person, phone/text and online (via iPad)
- Processing payments Cash & Card
- Some basic food preparation/cooking
- Assisting the cook as required
- Stocking the van
- Cleaning/Tidying
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required
